My license allows me to drive anything from a car to the heavy rigid vehicles. I have a digital tacho card but I am also familiar with analogue tachograph so the vehicle age is not a problem. During the course of my driving career I've been driving wide range of various vehicles, so name it and I've been propably driving it already. You can find out more by clicking the VEHICLES DRIVEN link. If you want to know more about what I have already done, please check EXPERIENCE section or, for more detailed information, see CV ROUNDUP . I am not affraid of work and I am openminded, I am not a lorry geek, so if you have some car or van driving, which can be interesting and/or well paid, I am also up for that.
So if you need any of the following, I am your man!
I can drive lorries for you (HGV2 and 7.5 tons) including among others doing:
+ local multidrop
+ tramping
+ trunking (night and days)
+ shunting
+ shop deliveries (cages, pallets, handball)
+ European driving
+ nationwide deliveries
+ construction sites deliveries
+ time critical deliveries
+ home deliveries
+ vehicle movements
I can also drive smaller vehicles for you:
+ cars
+ car derived vans
+ transit type vans
+ limos
+ vintage vehicles
I would be happy to get an interesting job for a full year, but if you need a driver for a shorter period of time, my services can also come in handy:
+ holiday/sickess cover
+ multimanning for some urgent deliveries
+ supporting your company during the busy periods
+ extra one-off jobs
+ vehicle movements (my trip to collect vehicle or after delivering it will cost you a small amount extra agreed beforehand)
I can travel for a right job, if you cover my travel expenses or if it's worth it (for example I can drive down to London if you want me to do a well-paid, three-weeks run to Middle East from there)
Please note: I can also offer road haulage related translation and interpreting to Polish language, as I am also experienced on that field (and I can provide references)
But there are also some things I can't do (even though I used to and I have no objection to hard work). Due to the spinal problems after a car accident few years ago (caused by third party) I am no longer able to lift heavy objects, so jobs similar to the ones described below are not for me:
+ Removals and heavy furniture transport (as long as you expect me to take part in loading/unloading vehicle)
+ Home deliveries where lot of stairs are involved (I am no longer able to carry washing mashine to the flat on the fourth floor in the sandstone house)
+ Heavy handball jobs with stairs and other obstructions.
But don't worry, I am not affraid of job, and I won't mind a odd handball here and there, as long as the items aren't heavier than 10-15 kgs each.
I can work as your direct employee, we can arrange my work through one of agencies I am registered with, or, if that your prefered choice, I can work for you as a self-employed person.
What are my rates?
This is to be arranged depending of the job, of it's location, duration and many other circumstances. Yet, when talking about short-term appoitments, I do not usually work for less than 7 pounds per hour (unless you have some job which is a plain pleasure for me :-)) We can also make a deal for a trip. Driving HGV vehicles will be off course more expensive than driving car derived vans. If you want me to work as a self-employed driver, add 25% to my hourly rate to cover my costs (as self employed worker is liable to pay NI and taxes on his own and to cover other costs of running a business).
